Description
Rookery Cottage is a 18th-century cottage located on the north side of Church Street in Silverstone. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone and ironstone, topped with a thatch roof and featuring brick end stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. A 20th-century plank door is positioned to the left of center, with a timber lintel that extends over a three-light casement window to the left. To the right, there is a blocked door with a timber lintel extending over another three-light window. The first floor features two-light casements with timber lintels set in eyebrow dormers. There is a single-storey tiled extension to the left. Inside, the cottage has chamfered spine beams and open fireplaces with chamfered bressumers.
