Description
Ashmere Cottage is an early 18th-century house located on Moulton Church Hill. It is constructed of regularly coursed lias stone and features a thatched roof. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window arrangement on the ground floor. To the right, there is a two-light casement window with leaded lights, a wood lintel, and shutters with catches. On the left side, there are similar single-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors. The cottage has gable parapets and brick stacks at each end. A 20th-century porch with a plank door is located on the side elevation, which also includes single-light casements with diamond panes above. The rear of the cottage features a two-window range of casements with leaded lights beneath eyebrow dormers.
