Description

Holly Cottage is a house dating from 1695, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed of regularly coursed lias stone and features a thatched roof. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set beneath a wooden lintel. On either side of the door, the ground and first-floor windows to the left are 20th-century casements fitted into 18th-century openings, which have 19th-century arches with keystones and ashlar surrounds. The gable ends are adorned with ashlar parapets, and there are two dormers featuring 19th-century casements. Stone stacks are located at both ends of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
