Description

No. 17 West Street is a house that dates from the mid-18th century and the 19th century. It is built from regularly coursed lias stone and features a slate roof. The house has a two-unit plan and stands three storeys high, with a two-window range that includes 20th-century casements and concrete lintels. There is a brick stack located at the ridge and at one end of the building. The roof was likely raised in the early 19th century. This house is part of a row that includes No. 19 and is included for its group value with Nos. 11 and 19 West Street. The interior has not been inspected.
