Description

The Malt House is a mid-18th century house situated on the south side of West Street in Moulton. Originally a three-unit plan building, it is constructed of regular coursed lias stone with a thatched roof. The house has two storeys and an attic, featuring a four-window front with 20th-century casement windows, some with leaded lights and wood lintels. Two glazed doors are set between the windows; the one to the right has a 19th-century moulded wood doorcase with brackets. Ashlar gable parapets top the building, and a single roof dormer is visible. Brick stacks are located at the ridge and end of the roof.
