Description

Ye Olde Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed lias stone and features a thatched roof. The original layout was likely a three-unit plan. The cottage is single storey with an attic and has a four-window range on the ground floor, which includes 19th and 20th century casements set under wooden lintels. There is a two-light casement with leaded lights positioned below the eaves, along with two dormer windows. Brick stacks are located at both ends of the building. To the right, there are single storey extensions from the 19th and 20th centuries. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is said to have a cruck roof structure.
