Description
Manor House Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Warwick Road in Upper Boddington. It features Lias ashlar stonework and a plain tile roof, with an L-shaped plan and two storeys. The main front has a five-window range and a central six-panelled door, which is framed by a moulded stone architrave and a pediment above. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are set under stone lintels with keyblocks. There is a bay on the far right with two blank windows. A flat string course runs between the storeys, and the building has rusticated quoins. The gable parapets are made of ashlar, and there are brick and stone stacks at the ridge and ends. The left side elevation is similar, featuring a three-window range with some blank spaces. An ashlar stack at the end of the rear wing has a moulded cornice. The farmhouse is reputed to date from 1709, although the interior has not been inspected.
