GV II

Cottage. Probably c.1881 with possible earlier origins. Coursed squared limestone with ironstone dressings, plain-tile roof, blue brick end and ridge stacks. One bay and cross wing. 2-storey, 2-window range. Plank door to left of cross wing with pegged wood surround and wood lintel, a 2-light leaded hollow-chamfered stone mullion window to left with hood mould and 2-light gabled dormer window above. Cross wing to right has 3-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion window to ground floor and similar 2-light window to first floor. Ironstone plinth with chamfered blue brick copinq, ironstone quoins and blue brick eaves, chamfered to gables. A 4-bay verandah on square timber posts with chamfers, extends across front to left of cross wing, with plain-tile lean-to roof continued over single storey wing to left, which has small gable to far left. Forms a composition with The Manor House and Manor House gateway (q.v.).
