Description
No. 6 Blacksmith's Hill is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with a thatched roof and featuring brick stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two bays. The doorways in the right bay and the second bay from the left have wooden lintels, plank doors, and 20th-century wooden lattice porches. Between these doorways, there is a window with an original chamfered wooden lintel and a 20th-century three-light wooden casement. There are similar two-light windows in the left bay and on the first floor. A thatched dormer features a 20th-century casement. To the left, there is an extension, likely a former barn, which now serves as a garage. This extension is built from limestone and ironstone rubble, with the roof of the house continuing over it. The interior has not been inspected.
