Description

The Old Posting House is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof with brick stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two bays. The central doorway has a plain stone surround, a rectangular fanlight, and a 20th-century panelled door. On either side of the doorway are 20th-century windows with concrete lintels. The first-floor windows have plain stone frames and consist of two mullioned and transomed lights with leaded panes. The hipped dormers contain 20th-century casements. The interior has been remodelled in the 20th century. The building is included for its group value.
