Description

This is a cottage located at 4 The Square, dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof, with brick and stone stacks on either side. The building has two storeys and two bays. The central doorway has a wooden lintel, a plank door, and a rectangular fanlight above it. There are windows on either side of the door with wooden lintels and 2-light casements, and similar windows are found on the first floor. Inside, the first-floor room has chamfered joists and girders, while the ground floor also features chamfered joists. This cottage is included for its group value.
