Description

Barn End is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof with brick stacks. The building has an L-plan layout and consists of one bay across two storeys. The doorway located in the right bay has a wooden lintel and a six-panel door. To the left of the doorway, there is a two-light window that also has a wooden lintel, wooden mullion, transom, and iron casements with leaded panes. A similar window is found on the first floor. The right side of the house has four bays, which contain 20th-century windows. The interior has been remodelled in the 20th century. This building is included for its group value.
