Description
The Clockshop is a house, now a shop, dating from the early 18th century. It was remodelled in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with an artificial stone slate roof and brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has four bays. A doorway is situated in the third bay from the left, featuring a wooden lintel. This leads to a 6-panel door and a 19th-century gabled wooden porch. There are two windows with wooden lintels and 20th-century casements to the right, and a 20th-century casement window in the left bay. The first floor has two-light windows with wooden lintels and 20th-century casements. To the left of the entrance is a 20th-century shop extension made of rendered brick, gabled, and featuring a bow window. The interior was remodelled in the 20th century. The building has group value.
