Description
No. 8 Round Town is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-18th century. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof with brick stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, with the two left bays projecting slightly. The doorway in the left bay has a wooden lintel and a four-panel door. To the right of the doorway is an 18th-century window with a straight keystoned head and 20th-century metal casements. The other windows have wooden lintels and mullions. At the rear, there are brick extensions from the mid-18th century. Inside, the ground floor room features mid-18th century panelled woodwork and an early cornice with egg-and-dart moulding.
