Description
No. 8 Fen Lane is a house dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and brick, featuring freestone quoins. It has a pantiled roof with tumbled brick parapet gables and end stacks. The house is two storeys tall with attics. The entrance includes a six-panelled door topped by a rectangular fanlight. The ground floor windows have wooden lintels; the left-hand window is blocked, while the right-hand window features a four-paned hung sash. On the first floor, there are two 20th-century replacement windows and one three-light cross framed window on the left side. Additionally, there are two sloping roofed dormer windows with a chamfered plinth.
