Description
The gate pier located on the east side of the main entrance to Aynhoe Park dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features panelled sides. The inner face of the pier projects slightly and is topped with a scroll. On the side facing the road, there is a small shield displaying a coat of arms. The pier is finished with a moulded entablature and a ball finial.
