Description

No. 53 West End is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made around 1830. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with a brick stack at one end. The house has a one-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range. The entrance is an early 19th-century beaded four-panelled door, which is topped by a bracketed flat hood. Above the door, there are early 19th-century eight-pane sash windows with timber lintels. The interior and rear of the property have not been inspected.
