Description
No. 3 Skittle Alley is a 17th-century cottage constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof and flanking brick and stone stacks. The building features a lobby entry and is two storeys tall with an attic, comprising two bays. The doorway in the left bay has a wooden lintel, a six-panel door, and a 20th-century stone porch. To the right, there is a two-light wooden casement window with a wooden lintel. The first-floor windows also have wooden lintels and iron casements, and all windows are fitted with leaded panes. There are 20th-century dormers present. An extension to the left, dating from the 18th or 19th century, is made of limestone rubble and has an artificial stone slate roof. This extension is one storey and attic high, with one bay. The interior has not been inspected.
