Description

A row of three cottages dated to the 17th century, located on Blacksmiths Hill. They are constructed of uncoursed rubble, with a thatched roof and brick stacks. The cottages are arranged in a T-shape.

Number 19 has a doorway in the left bay, featuring a wood lintel and plank door. To the right of the entrance are two 20th-century windows with wood lintels. An archway with a wood lintel leads to number 17, above which are two 20th-century windows. Number 15 has a projecting wing to the left, which includes pigeon holes in the gable and a 19th-century lean-to stone extension with a 20th-century doorway. The right side of number 15 features two windows with wood lintels and three-light iron casements on the ground floor, and two similar two-light windows on the first floor. All windows have leaded panes.

Inside number 17, original stud partitions remain, along with a semi-circular stone bread oven projecting into the sitting room.
