Description

This structure consists of a wall, gatepiers, and a gate located approximately 40 metres north of Swanspool House. It was built in the mid-19th century and restored in the 20th century. The wall features two sections of low ironstone with ashlar copings. The sections are connected by square limestone ashlar gatepiers topped with ball finials, and there is a wrought iron gate with an overthrow. To the left of the gatepiers, there is an inscribed tablet that reads, "Swanspool House and grounds presented to the town by F.C. Chamberlain sq., on the 10th June 1919." This structure is included for its group value.
