Description
No. 18 Sheep Street is a house that has been converted into offices. It is believed to have been originally built in the 17th century and later remodeled in the 18th century. The building is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a slate roof, with an L-shaped plan. The main front has two storeys and a three-window range of 19th-century sash windows set in 18th-century openings, which have wooden lintels. The central entrance features a four-panelled door flanked by hexagonal top lights and reeded pilasters, topped with a cornice and entablature. Inside, there are some chartered ceiling beams, and the room to the right of the entrance includes an open fireplace with a bressumer.
