Description
32A Sheep Street is a house that has been converted into offices, with a datestone indicating it was built in 1838. The building features a brick facade, with ironstone and limestone at the rear, topped by a slate roof. Originally designed with a two-unit plan, it stands three storeys tall and has a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a double door with six panels, surrounded by panelled reveals and a moulded wood bracketed hood. On either side of the entrance are bow windows with three sashes and glazing bars. The sash windows on the first and second floors, which decrease in height on the second floor, also have glazing bars and rusticated stone lintels with keyblocks. A moulded stone cornice and brick stacks are located at both ends of the building. The rear of the property includes late 19th-century additions, with a datestone positioned below the eaves of the main house. Inside, the ground floor rooms feature some panel decoration and moulded wood doorcases, and the ground floor was likely remodeled in the early 20th century.
