Description
39 The Square is a house that has been converted into a house and restaurant, with a datestone indicating it was built in 1738. The building features regular coursed lias and limestone with a thatched roof. It was originally designed with a two-unit plan and stands two stories tall with an attic. The façade includes a two-window range of casements with glazing bars set under wooden lintels. On the ground floor, the window to the right is a horizontal sliding sash. The central entrance is a four-panel door also located under a wooden lintel. A semi-circular roof dormer with glazing bars is present, along with a stone stack at one end. The interior has not been inspected.
