Description
The Priory is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of squared coursed lias and features a plain-tile roof added in the 19th century. The building originally had a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The façade includes a three-window range of 19th-century casements set under wooden lintels. To the left, there is a 19th-century bay that projects forward, accompanied by early 20th-century bay windows at the gable end. A 20th-century door is located to the left of centre, with a lean-to porch. The gable ends are adorned with ashlar parapets and kneelers, and there are brick stacks at the ridge and ends. A large sundial, dating from around 1910, is positioned to the right of centre. At the rear, there is an 18th-century wing in a similar style, which features an early 20th-century bay window. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have ceiling beams and panelled window reveals.
