Description

The Amsterdam is a house that has been converted into a restaurant, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of flint with painted cobbled return fronts and features painted brick quoins and dressings. The building has a plain tiled mansard roof with an end stack and a ridge stack located to the right. It stands two storeys high with garrets and has an irregular arrangement of windows, consisting of three on the first floor and five on the ground floor, with four of the ground-floor windows aligned in a long line. The ground-floor windows have diamond lattice casements with segment heads. The entrance is marked by a glazed door situated between the first and second windows from the right.
