Description
The Red Lion Public House is a cottage that has been converted into a public house, dating from the 18th century. It was extended on both the right and left sides in the later 18th century and the 19th century. The building is plastered and has plain tiled roofs, featuring two main ridge stacks and an additional stack on the right. It has an L-shaped layout with a cross-wing that projects to the left. The ends of the building are one storey high, while the central section is one and a half storeys. There are three windows in the center, two on the right, and one at the end of the projecting wing. The central windows have sliding casements, while the end windows are glazing bar sashes. The entrance features a central 20th-century planked door with a center light and a large 20th-century porch made of rustic timbers on low walls that support a flat roof. It is noted that the level of the road has been raised since the central block was built.
