Description
This outbuilding, located approximately 3 meters south of Number 1 (White Owl Cottage), is likely from the late 18th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. Originally, it was probably designed as a single unit. The building is single storey with a loft. The gable end facing the road includes a casement window with glazing bars beneath a wooden lintel at the apex, as well as a plank door also under a wooden lintel. A stone stack is positioned at the ridge. The interior has not been inspected, but it is likely that the building was subdivided for use as a wash house in the 19th century. This outbuilding is included in the listing for its group value.
