Description

The Old Fox is a public house, later converted into a house, dating to the middle of the 18th century with later 19th-century additions. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and limestone with a 20th-century plain tile roof. Originally, the building comprised three distinct units. It has two storeys and a 3-window front, featuring casement windows with wood lintels; some of these windows have glazing bars. A 20th-century stone porch is located to the right of the centre. There are stone stacks at the ridge and end of the building. Inside, the central room retains a chamfered spine beam and an open fireplace with a bressumer. The building is included on the list for its group value.
