Description

No. 2 Station Road is a vicarage that has been converted into a house, likely built in the late 17th century with 19th-century alterations. The building features regular coursed and squared limestone with a Collyweston slate roof. It was originally designed with a three-unit lobby-entry plan and has two storeys. The front has a two-window range of three-light stone mullion windows, and there is a small oval window with a stone surround on the first floor to the left, with a casement window below it under a wooden lintel.

A central two-storey porch, added in the 19th century, is rendered and topped with a plain tile roof from the 20th century. The entrance has a panelled door with an arched stone surround and a keyblock. The building also features ashlar gable parapets and kneelers, along with brick and stone stacks at the ridge and ends. To the right, there is a single-unit extension that includes a two-light stone mullion window. Attached to the left is a two-window range that has been partially reconstructed in the 20th century, featuring three-light stone mullion windows in the gable end. Inside, there are chamfered beams and remnants of an open fireplace with a bressumer. The building ceased to function as a vicarage in the early 19th century.
