Description

Glebe Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and ironstone, topped with a Collyweston slate roof. The building originally featured a three-unit lobby-entry plan and has two storeys. The front has a three-window range of renewed leaded casements that sit under wooden lintels. The central entrance is a six-panel door, also under a wooden lintel, which includes a fanlight with diagonal glazing bars. The gable ends have ashlar parapets, and there are ashlar and brick stacks at the ridge and ends. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have an open fireplace and chamfered ceiling beams.
