Description

Manor Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, with a datestone of 1675. It is constructed of squared coursed and banded limestone and ironstone, with a Collyweston slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan.

The main front elevation, which runs parallel to the road, has three windows at ground floor. A two-light stone mullion window, with drip moulds, is centrally placed, flanked by 20th-century casements. Above are similar two-light stone mullion windows. There is a chamfered plinth and long limestone quoins. The gables have ashlar parapets, kneelers, ball finials, and an ashlar stack with moulded cornices at the ridge. A roundel with a tablet above displays the date 1675. The gable to the right features a single three-light stone mullion window on each floor, all with dripmoulds; the attic window has leaded lights. A tablet in the gable apex is inscribed "W/WL/75". The gable to the left has a three-light stone mullion window on the ground floor, with a drip mould, and a similar two-light window in the attic. One light of the attic window is blocked, the other has leaded lights; the top corners of the window surround have ears with lattice decoration. Two three-stage buttresses flank these windows and are likely from the 19th century.

A rear wing to the right of the main front has a one-window range window with a three-light stone mullion window, with a drip mould to the first floor. A 19th-century panelled door is centrally placed, flanked by single-light windows, one with a stone surround to the left. A six-panel door to the far right has a four-centred moulded stone head. The rear elevation to the left has two windows at ground floor, with drip moulds; the window to the left is probably late 17th century. There is a single, similar two-light first floor window, part with a leaded light. The rear gable has a single two-light stone mullion window, also part with leaded lights, topped by an ashlar stack. The interior has not been inspected.
