Description
Amy's Cottage and Tithe Barn Cottage are two houses dating from 1759, as indicated by the datestone WA/IXC/1759. They are built of squared coursed lias stone and feature a 20th-century plain-tile roof. Originally designed with a two-unit plan, the buildings stand two stories tall and together form a four-window range of casements with glazing bars, all set beneath wooden lintels. There are three 20th-century doors positioned between the windows; two of these have wooden lintels, while the leftmost door features a pointed arch head. The gable ends have ashlar parapets and kneelers, with brick and stone stacks located at the ridge and ends. The datestone is situated above the entrance to No. 4. The rear elevation mirrors the front. Inside No. 4, there is an open fireplace with a bressumer.
