Description

No. 16 North Street is a house built in the late 17th century and early 18th century. It features regular coursed lias and ironstone with a thatched roof and has an L-shaped plan. The building is a single storey with an attic. The entrance front has a three-window range of casements with glazing bars, all under wooden lintels, and there are eyebrow dormers in the attic. To the right of the centre is a four-panel door, also under a wooden lintel. The bay to the right shows signs of being built differently, while the bay to the left has lower eaves. There are brick and stone stacks at the ridge and end, and the right side has ashlar gable parapets and kneelers. A similar 18th-century wing is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
