Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, located on the south side of High Street in Great Horwood. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features moulded brick eaves, an old tile roof, and brick stacks at the gables and between the left-hand bays. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The left-hand bay contains three-light leaded casements, while the right-hand bays have triple-hung, barred sashes. The ground floor windows have segmental heads. Between the right-hand bays, there is a six-panelled door set within a wooden doorcase that has minimal pilaster strips and a cornice hood supported by cut brackets over a wooden frieze panel. Additionally, there is a lower bay attached to the left that provides entry for a garage.
