Description
Northview is a house located in Bishop Burton, dating from the late 18th century, with later additions at the rear. It is constructed of brick and has a colour-washed finish with a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, along with a single-storey, single-bay wing to the right. The entrance features an open timber porch leading to a door with four raised and fielded panels and a glazed section above. The windows are 16-pane sashes with sills and louvred shutters, set beneath cambered channelled wedge lintels. On the first floor, there are three additional 16-pane sashes with sills. The eaves overhang, and there are end stacks. The lower wing to the right includes a 16-pane sash window, also with a sill and louvred shutters, beneath a channelled wedge lintel, and has an end stack.
