Description

The property is a late 18th-century house, with a mid-19th century re-roofing. It is located in Bishop Burton The Green. The house is constructed of brick, which has been colour-washed, and has a pantiled roof. The main block is two storeys high, with three bays and a lower, parallel range to the rear, covered by a two-span roof. There is also a single-storey, single-bay wing to the left. The front door consists of four raised and fielded panels with two glazed panels above, set within an architrave and surmounted by a gabled open porch. To the right and left of the door are four-pane sash windows, with sills. The first floor has three similar sash windows with sills. A stepped brick eaves cornice creates an oversailing effect, and there are end stacks. The wing to the left has a three-light casement window under a segmental brick arch, with oversailing eaves and an end stack.
