Description
Old Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of dark red brick and has a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, arranged in a 2:1:1 pattern. On the ground floor, there is a four-panel door with an overlight, flanked on both sides by paired sash windows, all featuring sills beneath segmental brick arches. The first floor has four 4-pane sash windows, also with sills, all under cambered gauged brick arches. The house has a stepped brick eaves cornice, tumbled-in brick at the raised gables, and end stacks. Above the door, there is an early insurance plaque from the Manchester Fire and Life Assurance Company, which is damaged, with the scroll containing the word "MANCHESTER" now missing.
