Description
No. 4 Winslow Road is an 18th-century house that was altered in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features a plinth, with altered brick window surrounds and a moulded brick eaves cornice that has modillions. The house has a 20th-century tiled roof and flanking chimneys with thin brick bases. It is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys with three bays. The windows are 4-pane sash windows, with those on the first floor having timber lintels. The central entrance consists of a 4-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight, panelled reveals, and a wooden doorcase supported by Doric pilasters and topped with a plain entablature. The left side of the house has irregular windows, including one that is a 3-light leaded casement.
