Description

No. 6 on Winslow Road is a cottage that represents one bay of a former house, dating from the 17th century and has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with diagonal braces, whitewashed brick infill, and a whitewashed rubble stone plinth. The roof is covered with slate and has a brick stack on the left side. The building has two storeys and a basement. The front facade includes paired barred casements and a four-light oak diamond-mullioned window in the basement. On the right gable, there is a paired leaded casement to the right, a 20th-century window above, and an entryway to the left. At the rear, the first floor has two windows that feature moulded mullions and old leaded panes.
