Description

This is a row of three cottages located in Broadway, dating to the 17th century and significantly altered in the 19th century. The cottages were originally listed under different addresses on London Road. The buildings have a roof of old tiles, topped by a wide brick chimney stack on the front elevation of number 54. A brick dentil cornice runs along the top of the building. The cottages are one storey high with an attic. There are three plain entrance doors and a single 2-light casement window in a blocked doorway on the ground floor, all with segmental arches. Three further 3-light casements are also present on the ground floor. Four first-floor windows are visible, along with four half-dormer windows in the roof. The first floor windows are 2-light casements with bars, except for number 56, which includes a first-floor room above a carriage arch situated between numbers 56 and 58.
