Description

Nos 42 and 44, Broadway, are a pair of late 17th-century timber-framed buildings that were later refaced with brick in the 18th century and are now colourwashed. The roofs are tiled. The buildings are two storeys and have an attic, with a first-floor band. Exposed timber framing is visible on the gables. A door is centrally located on the right-hand side, with a cornice hood above it. There are three-light casement windows on each side of the building, with two windows to the first floor and one in the left-hand gable. Modern diamond-leaded glazing has been installed. The west gable displays exposed timber framing. A rear wing, numbered 22, has a double-hipped roof.
