Description
Nos 28 and 30 on Broadway are early 19th century buildings made of red brick with an old tile roof. They feature a projecting brick stack on the east gable and a dentil brick eaves cornice. The buildings are two storeys high and have three 3-light casements on the first floor, each with wooden lintels. There is a half-glazed door to No 30, with a 3-light casement to the left, both having segmental arches, and another 3-light casement on the right with a wooden lintel. No 28 has a good early 19th century shopfront, which includes a hatch door on the left with an upper part that is glazed and a lower part with two flush panels. The shopfront features gothick intersecting glazing in the rectangular fanlight and a bowed window with glazing bars on the right, all under an entablature with a dentil cornice.
