THORNTON RUST A 684 SD 98 NE (north side) 14/168 Mile Stone approximately 200 metres west of parish boundary - II Mile Stone. Late C19. Cast iron. Triangular in plan. On left side, hand pointing right and "LEYBURN 9 MILES". On right side, hand pointing left and "HAWES 8 MILES". Top damaged.
