Mile-post. Late C19. Cast iron. Triangular in plan. On left side, hand pointing right and "BEDALE 7 MILES". On right side, hand pointing left and "LEYBURN 4 MILES". On top, "LEYBURN H D". Dates from after the Highways Act of 1888.
