Description

Constable Burton Bridge is a bridge built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed rusticated rubble and features a single horseshoe arch, which is flanked by terminal pilasters. There is a decorative band along the structure, and the parapets are made of larger stones with rounded ashlar coping. Above the center of the arch, there is a water-spout that drains the carriageway. Additionally, there is a benchmark on the top surface of the coping in the center of the downstream parapet.
