Description

This is a milestone located 200 meters east of the entrance to Magdalen Hill Cemetery in Chilcomb. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of painted rectangular stone. The front features an attached painted cast iron plate that is inscribed with the distances to London (63 miles) and Winton (1¾ miles) to the Butter Cross.
