Description
Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century cottage constructed with a timber frame and colourwashed brick infill, featuring a thatched roof. The building has three bays and a smoke bay, is two stories tall, and has a wide outshot at the right end. The central smoke bay contains a 18th-century four-panel door that is half-glazed, with a 20th-century two-light casement window on the right side and a 19th-century two-light casement in the right bay. To the left of the door, there are three 19th-century two-light casements. On the first floor, there are four 19th-century two-light casements. Above the door is a large multiflued stack. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and has a swept-down hip on the right, with a decorated ridge piece. The complete timber frame is exposed.
