Description

This is a milestone located on Chaddleton Road in Leek, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of rough-cut stone that is set into a stone wall and features a cast-iron face plate. The plate is inscribed with the distances: 'from London 153 miles: to Sandon 17 miles: to Leek 1 mile'.
