Description

This milestone, dating from the early 19th century, is located on the London to Chester Turnpike road in Sandford, Prees. It is made of sandstone and features a rounded top with a rectangular cast-iron plate. The plate is inscribed with "London/156/Chester/25," while the stone itself has "Sandford" inscribed at the bottom.
