PREES C.P. A 41 (south side) SJ 53 SE SJ 5982 3378 7/54 Milestone at N.G.R. - SJ 5982 3378 - II Milestone. Early C19 on London to Chester turnpike road. Sandstone with rounded top and inscribed rectangular cast-iron plate. Inscription illegible at time or resurvey (January 1986) but known to read "London/155/Chester/26".
