Description
This milestone, located on the south side of the A41 in Prees, dates from the early 19th century and marks the London to Chester turnpike road. It is made of sandstone and features a rounded top with an inscribed rectangular cast-iron plate. The inscription was illegible during the last survey in January 1986, but it is known to read "London/155/Chester/26".
